    Collapse overview
Dr. Young's research interests include the conduct of physical activity intervention trials for adults and adolescents based in primary care clinics and community settings. She also studies how physical inactivity and excess sedentary time are associated with cardiovascular risk and risk factors. She is interested in health behaviors during the transition from adolescence to young adulthood and factors associated with maintaining physical activity, low sedentary time, and healthy weight status. Much of her work involves studying racial/ethnic minority groups to identify and reduce health disparities.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
