Debra P. Ritzwoller, PhD, is a Senior Investigator and the Co-Director of the Center for Excellence in Cancer and Genomics (C-Gen) at the Institute for Health Research. Her research focuses on variation in cancer screening and treatment, outcomes and costs in community settings, the impact of insurance benefit design on patient cost-sharing, and cost estimation and cost-effectiveness.

Dr. Ritzwoller completed her doctoral training in economics at the University of Colorado, Boulder. As a health economist and health services researcher, she has served as a Principal Investigator or Co-investigator on more than a dozen large, complex, multi-site studies, including several studies in the Cancer Research Network (CRN). Currently, Dr. Ritzwoller is the co-lead of the Lung PROSPR Research Center (Lung-PRC) to improve lung cancer screening. Additionally, she is involved in a variety of research-related activities and projects associated with building, enhancing, and validating the Health Care Systems Research Network (HCSRN)-sponsored federated research data infrastructure known as the Virtual Data Warehouse (VDW).

Dr. Ritzwoller is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Health Systems, Management, and Policy at the University of Colorado School of Public Health and a member of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Cancer Care Delivery Research(CCDR) Steering Committee.
