    Dr. Lawson is the inaugural Faculty Director of Inclusive Curriculum at the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine. This role builds on her expertise in curriculum development and instructional design, focusing on curricular EID to guide the development of the school’s inclusive curriculum strategy and resources. Prior to joining the School of Medicine, Dr. Lawson worked as the lead instructional designer for online graduate programs at Loyola Marymount University School of Education. She earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in Anthropology from Yale University, and an MA and PhD from UCLA in cultural anthropology; her scholarship continues to explore cultural and epistemological diversity in environmental STEM education, with a focus on place-based learning.
