My research interests have primarily focused on orthopedic injuries, particularly of the hip and lower extremities. I have focused primarily on injuries in older adults, and have a particular interest in examining hospital-level influences and the effects of processes-of-care on outcomes in these patients. I also have interest in studying injuries in children as well. Finally, I have begun some work examining how pre-existing and comorbid conditions affect outcomes in patients undergoing hip or knee arthroplasty.
