Her research focuses on the evaluation of vaccine safety and effectiveness and on the surveillance of vaccine-preventable or other infectious disease. Dr. Naleway is an investigator with the CDC-funded Vaccine Safety Datalink, a national project that links automated medical records data from several integrated health care delivery organizations to monitor vaccine safety. Additionally, she has collaborated with the CDC on studies to assess the effectiveness of influenza vaccination during pregnancy, influenza vaccine choice and effectiveness in health care workers, and the early effect of human papillomavirus vaccination on HPV-related outcomes.
Dr. Naleway received her MS and PhD in Epidemiology from The University of Iowa's College of Public Health and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in epidemiology at the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation. Dr. Naleway has adjunct faculty appointments with Oregon Health and Science University's Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine as well as The University of Iowa College of Public Health’s Department of Epidemiology.Center for Health Research Distinguished Investigatorprns:coAuthorOfcoauthor ofFaculty Rankprns:fullNamefull nameprns:hasAuthorListauthor listprns:hasFacultyRankhas faculty rankprns:hasNetworkhas networkprns:hasPublicationVenuepublished inprns:informationResourceReferenceinformation resource referenceprns:isPrimaryPositionis primary positionprns:latitudelatitudeprns:longitudelongitudeprns:mainImagephotoprns:maxWeightmaximum weightprns:medlineTAjournal title abbreviationprns:meshDescriptorUIMeSH DescriptorUIprns:meshSemanticGroupNameMeSH semantic group nameprns:minWeightminimum weightprns:numberOfAuthorsnumber of authorsprns:numberOfConnectionsnumber of connectionsprns:numberOfPublicationsnumber of publicationsprns:personIdPerson IDprns:personInPrimaryPositionperson in primary positionprns:physicalNeighborOfphysical neighborprns:positionInDepartmentposition in departmentprns:predicateNodepredicate nodeprns:publicationDatepublication dateprns:similarTosimilar toprns:sortOrdersort orderprns:uniquenessWeightuniqueness weightprns:yearyearAcademic ArticleArticleDocumentbibo:pmidPubMed IdentifierAddressvivo:address1address line 1vivo:addressCitycityvivo:addressPostalCodepostal codevivo:addressStatestate or provincevivo:authorInAuthorshipselected publicationsvivo:authorRankauthor rank in publicationAuthorshipDepartmentvivo:hasResearchArearesearch areasvivo:hrJobTitleHR job titleInformation Resourcevivo:linkedAuthorlinked authorvivo:linkedInformationResourcelinked information resourcevivo:mailingAddressmailing addressvivo:middleNamemiddle name or initialvivo:orcidIdORCID idvivo:overviewoverviewvivo:personInPositionpositionsPositionvivo:positionInOrganizationposition in organizationvivo:preferredTitlepreferred titlerdf:predicatepredicaterdf:typetyperdfs:labellabelConceptAgentfoaf:firstNamefirst namefoaf:lastNamelast nameOrganizationPersonDivision of ResearchDepartment of Research and EvaluationKaiser Permanente Northern CaliforniaKaiser Permanente Southern CaliforniaNicolaKleinNicola P.
