Overview
Dr. Etsemaye P. Agonafer is an internist committed to advancing health equity and justice for individuals and populations made vulnerable —including Veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness and incarceration. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health System Science and Faculty Director of Partnerships & Initiatives in the Office of Community Engagement at Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine. Her body of work amplifies the voices of vulnerable individuals and communities through narratives, mixed methods, and community partnered participatory research to impact healthcare delivery innovations addressing social determinants of health.
